Vertellus Health & Specialty Products LLC, located in Delaware Water Gap, PA is currently seeking an individual to carry out various tasks in the preparation, reaction and storage of a variety of chemicals and chemical intermediates. These operations are performed utilizing reactors, storage tanks, pumps, stills, condensers, filters and other pieces of equipment specific to the chemical industry. Processing instructions are detailed in written batch sheets: additional information may be reported on separate process and department logs.
Duties involve: cleaning and servicing process equipment; charging raw materials to reactor; processing batches and packaging completed batches; obtaining samples and sometimes performing analyses; conducting all processing operations related to packaging lines; assisting in loading finished goods and unloading raw materials; and other related activities. Ability to ensure that all work is performed in a safe, orderly and clean fashion is essential. Rotating 12 hour shift work required.
Candidates should possess previous related exp, be able to follow written instructions, work with minimal supervision, lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical work. Understanding/respect for potential hazardous materials and the ability to work in an environment with exposure to unusual elements such as external temperatures a must.
