Vertellus is a dynamic international company with more than a century of leadership in the manufacture of health, agriculture and performance chemicals. Vertellus is seeking Welder’s at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for analytical testing in support of chemical manufacture at Zeeland. Work will occur on 3 by 3 shift schedules and may be performed on finished goods, wastewater & solid waste, or B3 process, depending on lab assignment. The process of sample analysis includes receiving samples and identifying the appropriate tests to be performed. Samples may be analyzed by computer-based chromatography, titrations, color analysis, UV/VIS/IR spectroscopy, or other established procedures. There will be responsibility for data storage, retrieval, and reporting as well.

The successful candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with 3 to 5 years experience. In addition, they will exhibit the competencies of Adaptability, Initiating Action, Judgment & Problem Solving, Decision Making, Communication, and will have the appropriate Technical & Professional Knowledge & Skills. Must be able to work with limited supervision in a team environment and prioritize and adjust workflow depending on customer needs.
