POSITION SUMMARY:

There is currently an opening at the Greensboro Manufacturing site, for a Quality Control Chemist reporting to the Quality Team Leader. The incumbent in this position will be fully trained to support Quality Control as needed through analytical testing. This position is a rotating shift position.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include conducting analytical testing, stability sample testing, and laboratory standards and calibrations. Evaluating existing Standard Test Procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and independently work to develop updated methods. Additionally, performs non-standardized tasks requiring more complex instrumentation and special projects as assigned. Possesses the experience and chemistry knowledge to independently troubleshoot instrument problems. Interfaces with other departments to ensure timely completion of analysis. Performs all tasks and job responsibilities in accordance with established safety procedures. Responsible for promptly reporting unsafe practices, conditions, or actions to their supervisor or safety team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

AS degree in Chemistry or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and work rotating shift (including night shift). Working knowledge of cGMP requirements preferred. Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and QMS background preferred.
