The HR Coordinator will report to the Human Resources Manager for the Indianapolis Plant. The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for assisting the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees located at the Indianapolis Site.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the overall function of HR for the Indianapolis site.
- Maintains positive employee relations by answering employee/manager requests and questions.
- Responsible for site coordination of employee safety clothing allowance program.
- Provides data maintenance and record keeping relating to employee site training program.
- Participates in the recruitment efforts for all levels of employees located at the site; coordinate the use of temporary employees.
- Conducts new hire orientation; administers pre-employment tests;
- Serves as the primary back up of processing all hourly payrolls through ADP.
- Maintains confidential employee information.
- Maintains HRIS records and complies reports from database as needed.
- Schedules and organizes employee meetings and events.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field
- 2-4 years experience in the principles of human resources. Union environment a plus.
- Experience with various HRIS systems. Experience with ADP Payroll Systems strongly preferred.
- Previous experience generating basic reports from HR/Payroll system database.
- Demonstration of advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and other computer applications; SAP a plus.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including: scanner, printer, copier, telephone, and fax
- Detail-oriented, well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
