POSITION SUMMARY:
There is currently an opening in the Technology Group (Process Research) located at the Indianapolis Plant for a R&D Chemist (Scientist Level) reporting to Group Leader of Process Research.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
The incumbent in this position will perform work leading to the development of new products/improved processes within a team environment. They will be responsible for carrying out laboratory experiments as required and for the effective planning, analysis, interpretation, and technical reporting of the results of these experiments.
Successful candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Chemistry (or Biochemistry). Have experience participating in and leading cross functional teams. Possess strong problem solving skills and effective communication skills. Must be able to be flexible to maneuver between process or product development groups, and have a general knowledge of gas chromatography, organic chemistry, and catalysis. In addition, will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, and work well in a multi-discipline team environment. Candidates with 1-2 years of related industrial or laboratory experience will be given special consideration.
