The manufacturing site is the world's largest pyridine and picoline facility. This site also manufactures various specialty pyridine and picolines derivatives, vitamin B3, cyanopyridines, chloropyridines and more. The facility is certified for ISO 9001:2008 and has certified conformance with the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® Management System and the B3 facility meets cGMP.
Bayonne, New Jersey
This facility specializes in specialty chemicals based in castor oil. The operation is a batch facility with flexible manufacturing equipment, including for hydrogenation, and operates the only castor oil refinery in North America. Located on Newark Bay, the facility has a dock for barge unloading. The facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has certified conformance with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Management System.
Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania
This location is a manufacturer of fine chemicals with a core competency in the manufacture of alkenyl succinic anhydrides (ASAs). Within the ASA market, Delaware Water Gap focuses on the demanding food starch modification end markets as well as the paper and textile markets. This site also manufactures salts for pharmaceutical, photographic and electronic applications. The facility has certified conformance with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Management System, and it is a cGMP facility.
Greensboro, North Carolina
This site is a multipurpose, flexible ISO 9001:2008-certified and cGMP facility that produces castor oil and citric acid derivatives for a variety of end-use markets, as well as DEET mosquito and insect repellent. The operation is very efficient with computer-controlled batch reactors in a large variety of sizes and materials of construction. The facility has certified conformance with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Management System.
Ledgewood, New Jersey
The Ledgewood location is an applications development laboratory for plastics, coatings and other products.
Parsippany, New Jersey
The Parsippany office is located in Lanidex Plaza and staffed primarily by commercial and financial postions.
This site specializes in the manufacture of fine chemicals and custom manufacturing. Products made here are used as intermediates for the pharmaceutical, personal care and imaging industries as well as polymers for composite binders. Zeeland’s technical expertise includes high-pressure catalytic hydrogenation, quaternization reactions and chiral resolution. The facility has certified conformance with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Management System, and it is a cGMP facility.

Seal Sands, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Seal Sands is a major supplier of monomers and performance enhancers for the plastics and polymer markets. This location also specializes in the production of advanced intermediates for pharmaceutical, agricultural chemicals and photographic applications. Seal Sands’ key technologies include sulfonation, alkylation, amination and maleation is the facility’s key reaction technology. Additional capabilities include alkylation, bromine/chlorine halogenation, esterifications and hydrolysis. The site is an ISO 9001:2008 certified batch-processing facility.
Workington, United Kingdom
The Workington facility manufactures speciality chemicals with a core competency in contract manufacture, Grignards and maleinisations – producing alkenyl succinic anhydrides and PIBSA’s. The facility manufactures materials for the paper, fuel, lube, oilfield, metal working, explosive, and pharmaceutical markets. The site is ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified and operates three manufacturing units.
Halebank, United Kingdom
The Halebank facility is a manufacturer of fine chemical operating under top tier of the COMAH Regulations in the UK. The site's primary focus is manufacturing actives and intermediates for the agro chemical industry and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry. Key technologies include chlorination, phosgenation, sodium dispersion and bromine chemistry. The operation consists of six main production units and a pilot plant. The site is certified in both an Environmental Management System to ISO 14001 and a Quality Management System to ISO 9001 for the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical intermediates, agricultural chemicals and industrial specialities.
This facility produces pyridine and picolines as well as cyano pyridines. In 2001, the Nantong facility was the first pyridine and picolines plant built in China. The plant is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.
The Shanghai office is our Asia Pacific headquarters. The office is located at Lujiazui Finance Plaza in the heart of the city’s business district in Pudong New Area. Since opening in October 2007, the Shanghai office boasts a highly diverse and experienced team, including sales, marketing, supply chain, human resources and financial professionals.
Vertellus acquired the site in 2011 and is the first manufacturing facility for the company in the Indian sub-continent. This facility specializes in the manufacturer of high value polymer intermediates and performance enhancers for the plastics industry. Vapi’s key technology is sulfonation. Since acquired in 2011, the site has had significant investment to expand capacity and ensure compliance with global health, safety and environmental standards. The facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
